Our congregation relies on the generous participation of members and friends in our annual Stewardship campaign and on a number of different fundraisers to gather the financial support necessary for our active community.

Stewardship Campaign for 2010

Our Stewardship Campaign for 2010 is an expression of value-based fundraising and engaged spirituality rooted in the beliefs of our members. We invite you to monitor this page to read the communications of the Stewardship Committee to our fellow members and friends as the campaign unfolds, beginning with the Campaign Launch Letter and Stewardship Event Schedule.

QUUest Bookstore

QUUest Bookstore book tableChurch members who had a love of books that were soul enriching and challenging to the mind formed the QUUest Bookstore about nine years ago. To this end books have been gathered from a variety of sources about the UU faith, history, spiritual goals, meditations, poetry and a variety of titles of general interest to UUs. Titles are selected from the UU World, references from sermons, forums and workshops as well as suggestions from fellow congregants.

The QUUest Bookstore is open between services, 10:30a.m. to 11:30 a.m and following the second service from 12:30 to 1:00p.m. The QUUest book tables are located in the southeast corner of the Social Hall. Portions of the profits from sales are donated to the congregation's general fund several times a year. Please stop by QUUest and look over our many exciting titles.

Ragtime Bash

Join us for the 36th annual Ragtime Bash, to be held here at UUAA on Sunday,October 25, at 2:30pm. We will welcome Mike Montgomery, peerless Ragtime scholar and performer, John Remmers, long time local Ragtime enthusiast, Kerry Price, dynamic Ragtime vocalist and veteran Ann Arbor performer, John Milan, Ragtime historian, author, composer and performer, and Rich Berry, long time favorite at Ragtime Bash. Tickets are $15, and can be purchased in advance at Nicola's Books, or at the door.

Goods and Services Auction

The annual Goods and Service Auction is held each spring in the Social Hall. Co-auctioneered by two members of the congregation, this auction/party is a wonderful event. Many goods and loads of services are donated by members and friends of First UU and also by some community businesses. Anything from a week at a Michigan summer cottage to a pet sitter can be purchased either through the silent auction or the live auction. There is a different theme each year and dinner is included in the price of admission. This year's auction will be held Saturday, March 13. Click here for more information.
