Phillip Jones, owner of Jonesurbanfoods, will be catering the event. We are especially pleased that in addition to delicious selection of hors d'oeuvres he will be supplying us with completely compostable serving products - bamboo plates, cold cups made from corn, and hot cups made from potatoes. He operates an urban garden and works with children in Detroit to help them learn about healthy food choices. A sample of the hors d'oeuvres includes: • Assorted mini quiches • Morel & mozzarella bruschetta • Jerk chicken brochettes • Black bean fritters • And many other appetizer choices, not to mention delicious desserts Beer, wine, soft drinks, and water will be served from two bars located in different parts of the building. Tickets for the auction are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. You can purchase tickets after Sunday services in the Social Hall by visiting the Auction Table. Tickets can also be purchased in the A small number of complimentary tickets are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend. Volunteering
Helping with the auction is an excellent way to support the congregation and to get to know others a little better. Volunteers are needed for a multitude of tasks both during the auction and before. For example: The auction is a great fundraiser for the church and a lot of fun. It's also an excellent way for you to contribute your time and talents.
