TAI CHI AS MOVING MEDITATION
This twelve (12) week course is an opportunity to explore t'ai chi as a means of meditation. The slow, continuous, gentle movements of traditional t'ai chi provide a focus for both mental and physical attention. This class is based on those movements and the principles behind them, with an emphasis on creating one's own quiet, internal, meditative space. As with all forms of meditation, this calls for concentration and patience with oneself, but the movements are gentle and can be adapted to many levels of health and fitness. In addition to serving as a meditative practice, the movements of t'ai chi may improve balance and strengthen postural muscles.

No special equipment is needed, but please wear comfortable shoes. Classes will meet on Sundays from 4:00pm-5:30pm beginning Sunday, November 6. This is a 12-week course.
