Sixth Grade - Neighboring Faiths11:30 am Through this longtime favorite class, we invite our young people to learn about other religious groups and then visit them in their services. By experiencing the diversity offered in this curriculum, we enhance those very Unitarian Universalist principles that we so adamantly uphold. Please click here for a class calendar through December. Seventh/Eighth Grade - Race to Justice/Values,Leadership and Teambuilding11:30 am Participants will get to know one another, explore personal values, and develop a sense of trust with others in the group through team-building exercises and other activities. While forming a stronger sense of community both within the group and beyond, the participants will also celebrate diversity and work toward racial justice. Eighth Grade - Our Whole Lives (OWL)11:30 am This comprehensive sexuality curriculum includes topics such as: self-awareness/body awareness; examining values, language, anatomy, physiology, gender roles, gender equality, relationship skills and much, much, more. Regular attendance is mandatory. Parents must attend the orientation meeting. All participants must have a signed parental permission slip on file. OWL Class and Topic Schedule 2009-2010 |
