How We Understand Spiritual Growth & Development: Ours is a child-centered philosophy of helping children and youth find the sacred within themselves, nurture  development, introduces them to our values and principles by way of example. We affirm the worth and dignity all our children and youth. We recognize them as spiritual beings now at their very young age. We encourage exploration of their religious ideas and their questions. We invite them to take part in the whole world-supporting their efforts to change the world for the better.

Campus Ministry Philosophy recognizes that college years are years when many explore deeper spiritual understandings, seek out religious roots or convictions and often look for a safe community in which to do this. We provide a supportive program with weekly worship services and peer community for college students wanting to explore or practice Unitarian Universalism.

Adult Education at First Unitarian Universalist includes a wide variety of classes taught by ministers, staff, members of the congregation and guest speakers. This program offers the opportunity to delve deeper into spirituality, Unitarian Universalism, social justice, the arts and more. There are no fees for classes unless food or special materials are provided. Full or partial scholarships are available upon request.
