The wide array of social justice projects at First UU are organized under a Social Justice Council.


The purposes of the Social Justice Council are:

  1. To advocate for the importance of social justice in the life of the First UU Congregation's members.
  2. To support the work of the social justice programs and projects.
  3. To advocate for and allocate social justice funds.
  4. To advise on proposals for social justice activities.

Nominations for Social Justice Council are sought in May of each year. The Social Justice Council consists of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and three At Large positions.
