Join Us on the Quest for Spiritual Growth and Fellowship.

Are you looking for a way to deepen your spirituality and understanding of Unitarian Universalism in a small group setting? Consider participating in a new eight month adventure which begins each fall when groups of 8-12 spiritual explorers gather to form a Chalice Circle. Trained co-leaders will guide the quest. Child care is available during Sunday afternoon Chalice Circle meetings.

As a member of a Chalice Circle you can expect to:

  1. Develop deeper relationships with a small group of people;
  2. Participate in meaningful conversations focused about various topics;
  3. Discover what you value and expressing those values openly;
  4. Listen and to be listened to on a deep level;
  5. Engage your heart, mind, and soul in conversation with others;
  6. Experience a high level of caring and intimacy;
  7. Identify and use your spiritual gifts; and,
  8. Give back to the congregation through a group service project.

The Chalice Circle program is guided by a Steering Committee, which coordinates the program, develops the sessions and provides facilitator training. Current members include Rev. Mark Evens (Supporting Minister), Sally Hattig (Co-Chair), Dixie Hibner, Becky Hoort, Meredith Ley (Co-Chair), Kathy McLean, Barb Pickett, and Kate Warner.

Chalice Circles are primarily formed in the fall, but may also be formed in the winter and summer. They are filled on a first-applied, first-assigned basis. When registering for a group, the registrants select their preferred day of the week and time from those available. Registration can be done on Sundays in Social Hall following services or on line. Come join us! Registration begins September 5, 2010.
